Background

Robbie grew up in a fishing family in Durban, South Africa. His father is one of the most experienced lure fishermen in South Africa. Robbie watched his father for many hours each day shaping spoons and that’s where his passion for lure fishing began.

Robbie spent 10 years boating in South African waters. He then worked in Dubai and was a top captain for 2 years running. Due to the decline of the fish stocks in UAE waters he relocated to Oman where the fish are plentiful. Robbie has spent a number of years researching the fishery in Oman and now has produced a range of professional trips available for charter.

Who is Johnjohn?

John grew up in Svängsta south of Sweden. Al ready as a kid he start to fish in the Mörrum River and of course in the sea outside of Karlshamn.

2004 did JohnJohn his first trip to Oman and fall in love. The Oman fishing was fantastic. Already at the beach he started to think about to do fishing trips to Oman toghether with Robbie. Autumn 2008 he finally start and advitice in Swedish magazines and made this homepage. The most important marketing effort was to make the fishing program “Fiskedrag” that was recorded October 2008. The program was broadcasted first time April 2009 in Sweden. It has also been broadcasted in Finland and Italy.
